By sampling the average colours of frames from a movie, a graph can be created to represent the colour palette and scene changes. This can be especially interesting for auteur directors like Stanley Kubrick or Wes Anderson, where the colour palette is a significant dimension of the movie. Unless otherwise stated, the graphs in this collection were generated by sampling every 100 frames from the given movie.
Graphs are generated in Python, using the CV2 library. This web interface is generated using Javascript and JSON.
